Why!
These entire box of bars look like this. The chocolate chips are pale in color and extremely Powderly and crumble when biting into them. Very poor quality.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Old forumula was FAR better than new ultra soft
4 years ago
I've been a huge consumer and fan of the Quest protein bars for years, but the recent change in the formula that took place sometime in 2022 made the bars WAY too soft and are even smaller now.
The original formula was a perfect balance between firm and soft. New formula is too soft and chewy and even sticks to the wrapper much more when opening now. This is across board for ALL flavors.
Quest, I see a lot of complaints about this change not only here but on Amazon, Reddit and other sites.
Unfortunately it took a major complaint for me to submit a review, also after reading many other complaints about this. Quest, PLEASE listen to your customers.
The bars WERE perfect. I can't buy these any more now. Let's see if Quest responds...
No, I do not recommend this product.

Used to love them
I’ve eaten a Quest bar almost every day since 2015. Have even taken them on vacation as an added protein snack. I’ve been with u thru 3 or 4 changes to the product. But I’m finishing what I have and calling it a day. This last change (to make the bar softer) has made the taste almost unpalatable. It leaves a chalky residue in my mouth & I have to brush my teeth after I eat it. I’m not going to throw out what I have as I just stocked up on several boxes but definitely not going to buy them again. I liked it better when I just threw a bar in my leggings pocket or rubbed it between my hands just to warm it up a bit so the bar wasn’t hard. But at least it tasted good. Thanks for the good years!
No, I do not recommend this product.

Bring back the old style!
This new softer recipe IS HORRIBLE! They’re mushy, don’t hold up well, and smaller. I used the keep one as a snack on the go, but not anymore. They mush and squish up in the wrapper. Then trying to open it while the “dough” is stuck all over the inside of the wrapper. When you finally get to what’s left of your bar, you now have this sad limp soft chew that mushes in your fingers! The older bars were not like this! Questbar, you used to be our favorite protein bars (family of four) for ten years and sadly the day has come for us to move on!
No, I do not recommend this product.
