New Formulation is horrible
I loved, loved, loved the birthday bar and bought it religiously every week to get through my busy days. The new bar is unfortunately awful. It is waxy, the flavor is nonexistent and every bar I have tried is a weird shape as it has melted in transit or storage. I have bought them from from Amazon, Target and our local grocery and all of them have been misshapen, color has been off and bubbles and holes have been present in the bar. Deeply sad they changed the formulation and it appears that they have done the same with the Blueberry Muffin one as well.
No, I do not recommend this product.

These Quest Birthday cake flavor is so good
a year ago
These Quest Birthday cake flavor is so good. No gritty or chalky texture either. Make sure you pay attention to the box because there are two types. You want the one with the Birthday cake with 20mg stamped inside and tasty looking piece of cake on the front.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Birthday cake was my favorite but now I feel like I’m getting an inferior product and the price went up. Pay more get less. Same issue with oatmeal chocolate chip. I’m going back to Cliff

Birthday Cake protein bar tastes great!
- Verified Purchaser
The Quest Birthday Cake bar is a great protein bar. Unlike most of my other favorite Quest bars, this one is not chocolate. It tastes more like a white birthday cake, but without the texture of a cake. After all, this is a protein bar, not a cake. So, of course the bar is more dense than cake. But, it tastes delicious. Before I had ever tried it, I thought about how Quest could make a protein bar with the flavor of a white birthday cake. Then, I tried it and thought, "wow! they really did it." Don't be fooled by the picture of the slice of cake on the box. You aren't getting a cake. But, you are getting a delicious protein bar that I highly recommend!
Yes, I recommend this product.
